I fixed the DX 7! Finally!
I finally had the motivation to do it. I took the thing apart again and bent the metal contacts back into place. All keys work. for the first time since I bought the it.
Now all I need to do is learn how to play it.
Lesson: Be careful when putting the keys back in. Thin bits of metal bend easy.
On to the next project.

When replacing keys on my DX7 I also managed to bend a couple contacts, now they don't sound at all.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how you fixed them? Just by bending them back into place? I'm afraid to touch them now I don't want to break them completely.
